With 25 years of experience in the aviation industry, Rockton is now pivoting from leasing commercial aircraft to actively driving the sustainable transition of the aviation industry within this new technology sector.
This is a challenge we are ready to take on
Today the global airline industry accounts for 2-3 % of global carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, and 12% of transportation emissions [1]. Transportation overall represents about 20-25% of global emissions [2]. Yet the aviation sector remains hard to abate, and while the industry has set ambitious goals, the pathways to achieve them are not entirely clear. Thus, the sector is not remotely on track to reach climate targets in line with the Paris agreement and risks being stalled on the ground in its climate aspirations.
This is a challenge we are ready to take on. Our team, with its broad global network, has a deep understanding of the industry with unique insights into the latest developments in sustainable aviation. Our overall objective is to partner with, and invest in, companies and aviation assets that have scalable potential coupled with significant sustainability impact.

Regional airlines are often the first to adopt new technology aircraft
Rockton’s extensive network with regional airlines and vast experience in regional aircraft assets offers considerable value in the shift to sustainable aviation. With these assets and expertise, Rockton is poised to play a central role in advancing new technologies that are now becoming available. There is no silver bullet, but multiple new technologies and propulsion solutions are in sight which will help create a more sustainable path for aviation.
